Its nice to be trusted to that extent

I received a cheque in the post this morning.

I was expecting it to come at some point this week. It was from a client who wants me to do a commission for them. But what I wasn’t expecting was the amount written on it.

The accompanying message explained….

“Dear Jackie, it was inspiring to talk to you. Enclosed you will find first, and second instalment (also called “final”). “

What a lovely surprise! The client paid me the full amount up front, because they trust me to do a good job for them.

But then, I’ve done artwork for them before, and they have faith in me…

And I love being thought of as inspiring, that’s a happy thought……
