I’m just back from a wonderful relaxing holiday in France, and am so enamoured with the colours of the holiday and their impact on me…
There’s the pale greeny turquoise of the sea on the cross channel ferry crossing… as the ferry arrives in Dieppe.
Theres the bright blue of the sky
Theres the white of the Millau bridge
Theres the soft blues of the Mediterranean sea and sky ….
Theres the bright yellow of the sunflower fields
And theres the red and white flowers that Dieppe is full of, because of the Canadian soldiers who died on the beaches there during the second World War in 1942. So poignant, that even now, so many years later the town has red and white flowers in memory of the Canadian flag, so even in peace, they are remembered
Colours of France, and all with their own message…
