Touching class

Well, its looks like I’m on a roll at the moment with my erotic drawings – I’ve done another one I’m happy with! – and again the model is partly dressed to add that frisson of interest. This time in a corset pulling her curves in tight. She is dressing herself in a pearl necklace as her arms reach back to do up the clasp in the nape of her neck and her breasts strain against the tight corset. Her eyes closed as she feels the soft touch of the warm pearls caress her throat. And again I’ve just added a touch of red for her thong to add interest to the black and white drawing. I love the way I’ve not needed to draw every line for you to realise what you’re looking at – I’ve not drawn the dark part of her right arm or the rest of her legs other than where the light catches them, and yet you know what you’re looking at and it adds interest in that I’ve not depicted every tiny detail. The drawing is called “Touch of class” and refers to the the pearls being classy and they way they touch her skin, as much as the corset she’s wearing…… and its making me wonder why pearls are considered to be more classy than other jewellery?

I've been an artist all of my life, and my paintings now hang on walls in Europe, USA and Canada. I'm working on getting them on the other continents! My wide range of artwork has been exhibited nearer to home in the East Midlands, with the Guild of Erotic Artists at Beaumont Hall Studios in Hertfordshire, and at "Erotica", Olympia, London. I have also been featured alongside my work in the Guild of Erotic Artists book (volume 2). I love to create dramatic interest in my pictures, whether it’s to paint an unusual landscape, or just to utilise dramatic lighting in my figure drawings or strong colour in my animal portraits. Delighting in the spontaneous tendencies of watercolour adds an interesting and distinctive look to my paintings, some of which are purposefully ambiguous, enabling the viewer to use their own interpretation of my artwork. I also love to hide images, and humour within my paintings, whether it’s a secret message, or an erotic couple hidden within a landscape, or even an erotic landscape where the couple are camouflaged as the features of the land itself. I am equally happy painting in oils, acrylics or watercolours and love to draw with pencil or ink. I have also developed the very effective method of drawing using white pencil on black card which creates dramatic pictures by just picking out where the light catches the body and leaving the rest of the image to the imagination, in darkness. I can also utilise many different styles, whether it is realistic, abstract, surrealistic, erotic, fantasy or camouflage art where something is hidden within the painting. I'm just passionate about my art, whatever I paint! But, it doesn't matter how many landscapes or pet portraits I paint, its always the erotic stuff that people are interested in! I started blogging to share some of the strange conversations I have with the people I meet. But its evolved into far more than that now.

    Nice work!

I reckon pearls are more classy, because they come from all the hard work the oysters do to make them. I mean, diamonds are just out of a bit of dirt.

Trixie – Yeh, you’re right, whats a bit of shiny dirt compared to a lot of oyster spit!!! 🙂

So trixie, if you were given some diamonds you’d say no? after all they’re just bits of dirt!? I myself don’t like pearls, but if they were diamonds I’d be more than happy. Sexy picture Jackie..

Indigo – Thankyou, I think it’s a sexy picture too!

So what are your favourite jewels then, Indigo, if you don’t like pearls?

I love the colour red so I’d have to say my favourite gems would be Rubies. But if I had a choice I’d choose the semi precious stone of Amethyst, purple being another favourite of mine.

Indigo – Rubies eh? Very dramatic! And the Amethysts sound exciting too, both full of colour and light.

I really like this one, Jackie. It’s very, very sexy. I think there’s something sensuous about pearls. Smooth, silky and they tend to glow the more they are worn.

Nitebyrd – Thankyou, and yes I think pearls are very sensuous too, and if they glow the more they’re worn, it’s because they’re softly picking up the essences from the skin they’re being worn on.
