As obscure as it is obvious

I’ve done some tricky pictures in the past, but I think this one may be the trickiest so far…..

The client wants me to paint a picture for him of three women who are very deeply special to him in his life.   They are not fantasy women, they are all real people who he has known, and still knows. All of the women are special in different ways.

The picture will have an erotic element to it.

But, and this is the crux of it, this is not a picture with a woman in it. Its not a traditional portrait of faces or of figures.

The women are to be represented as something that is a facet of their personalities.

The picture is not to be obvious to others, including the women if they should see it.

A picture that is as obscure as it is obvious.

Painted, as a real landscape.  Which might be a fantasy landscape with mythological creatures in it along the lines of “Lord of the Rings”, but misty or hazy in the distance, with muted colours, and probably in late summer or early autumn, at sunrise or sunset.

Oh, and just to make it a little bit more difficult for the artist, the client can’t picture this picture himself.
