How to turn my head

Sitting in the sunshine with my fella at the weekend, having my second mug of tea of the day I contemplated the busy goings on around me. Watching the customized car show take over a venue that I know of as quiet and peaceful, was something of an assault on the senses. Car’s revving, music pounding, boy racers, and glamour girls pouting aplenty. I was a fly on the wall of something that I was on the peripheries of and didn’t need to do anything, but sit and watch it all unfold before me.

Then, suddenly, my head shot up, and mouth fell open, as my eyes took in the person a few yards away. I know that face, but I knew she wasn’t a friend, and for a couple of seconds I thought she must be a celebrity I’d seen on the telly as she was so glamorous, with her immaculate make-up and sexy red clinging maxi-dress revealing her feminine curves. And then, it all clicked into place. And I leapt out of my seat and went over to her, as fast as I could, with a huge smile on my face, and as I got to her I said “Do you remember me?” and she looked at me and said straight away “Yes! But I can’t remember your name” and I smiled and said “I can’t remember your name either!” “Kirsty” she said, with a smile, and I said “Jackie!” as we hugged and kissed cheeks. I asked what she was doing there that day, and realised that as she’s a dancer that she would be performing for the boy racers – sexy women and fast cars go together, don’t they! She asked what I was doing there, and I said I had some of my artwork on the walls, and straight away she said “The Fannies?” and I shook my head ruefully and said “Noooo, unfortunately not”. “Why not????!” she asked incredulously, and I said “Because the managers wife doesn’t like them” and she said “But they’d be perfect” and I smiled and nodded in agreement, and said that at least I’d got other erotic artwork there. I knew she’d understand. We had a few minutes chat together then she had to go, and we said goodbye with a smile to each other. I sat back down on my chair and smiled to myself at seeing her again.  We’re both women who work in ther erotic world, and I like the fact that sometimes people I know surface in unexpected places.

The last time I’d seen her was at Erotica in 2008 (infact she’s actually featured in the first few minutes of this video link I’ve just found from 2009!)  when she’d been on the stand next to mine, she promoting the dance troupe that she was part of, and me, well, I was there because I’d painted the first of the Fantasy Fannies, and I wanted the world to see them, and who better than the erotic clientele of the Erotica show at Olympia, London!

That’s how she knows me. And I know her for being a delightfully nice person, as well as an absolutely gorgeous looking woman. It was good to see her again, and maybe we’ll bump into each other again sometime we women of the erotic world.
